Breathwork Teacher Training

Breathwork teacher training

BREATHWORK

Breathwork is a mix of traditional (pranayama) and modern breathing exercises. The impact

of the exercises is felt immediately - they have a biochemical, biomechanical and

psychological influence on body and mind. Breathwork promotes sleep, emotional well-

being, immunity, focus, performance and physical balance. Some also have a profoundly

spiritual experience during breathwork. It includes a toolbox of breathing exercises that you

can do anywhere, anytime in the event of stress, anxiety, or when a mental shift or

performance enhancement is needed.

METACOGNITION

Poor breathing, which is at the root of many physical and mental health problems, is usually

a learned pattern. Metacognition techniques are an important tool in breaking the pattern

of incorrect breathing. Scientifically, there is a direct link between breathing and our

attention span. Metacognition is the ability to consciously observe, regulate and adjust

cognitive processes (thoughts, emotions, feelings). Becoming aware of functional and

dysfunctional patterns helps us to tap into our full potential and to be more successful in life.

Conscious breathing and meditation are important metacognitive exercises used in

Breathwork to bio-hack the autonomic nervous system such that chronic stress disappears

over time. This boosts physical and mental health and immunity and promotes a long, happy

and healthy life.

RESPIRATORY FITNESS

In Breathwork, you will learn specific exercises to relax and strengthen the breathing

muscles. This will eventually allow you to breathe efficiently and functionally, both at rest

and during exercise. Strengthening and stretching the primary respiratory and postural

muscles helps to increase sports performance and to address back problems.
